Fake it till ya make it.

Swingin' for the trees.

We recently said "see ya later" to our friend Hunter for the summer (the redhead in stripes in the middle) by "playin' a few roads" at Top Golf. Hunter will be working overseas this summer for iGo as a field staff missionary.

In Times of Trouble

Mateo and I are once again finding ourselves in a place of transition and change. Change in itself is hard for us, but it is especially difficult when we cannot, in anyway, see how God is going to provide our future.

In these times of unsure and change we find ourselves clinging to this characteristic we know is true of Him.
He is faithful.

He will never leave us, and not just that, He will never forsake us.
Be encouraged in your own troubled times, friends.

What are some other verses or characteristics of God you cling to in your own times of trouble?

Looking Forward

It's official, Mateo! You've turned in your last final and we're done.

(Insert every emotion imaginable)

I am so proud of our goings and all of the people and places we have known thanks to your schooling. I am proud of your dedication and hard work, two traits I know you execute in our family as well. I am excited to be done, but more than that, I am excited to have done this with you. Thanks for the invite to this adventure.

Our cone head has been experiencing some change as well. He's officially "one of a kind" and we couldn't be happier with his recovery. I suppose they call them "puppy dog eyes" for a reason...

Happy Monday, friends! Celebrating anything we can join in on? Doing anything hard that just has to be done (even if it leaves you in recovery for a while)? Praying for a week filled with comfort and reassurance in all the ways you are going.

Piney Woods & Plane Reads

These past few week's "goings" have been on the more eventful side of the Arnett household.

First was Broaddus, Tx (Sarah's hometown) with her 2nd job (Lake Pointe Church) to help host an area wide youth rally. It was four days of teenagers and beautiful chaos.

The churches bonded together over service projects and the rally, two students accepted Christ, and by the time they hopped on the church vans and headed out of the Piney Woods it was clear God used these students to push back the darkness.

Sarah also traveled to Des Moines, IA to recruit for her first job (iGo Global). Many hours spent in many airports and great conversations with church leaders about the iGo world.

(A book worth adding to your reading list)

What about your house, friends? Taken any great adventures lately or are there any on the horizon? Reading any "list worthy" books?

Happy {By Pharrell Williams}

This song is currently on repeat in the Arnett airspace. Complete with dancing and full on joy. Here's to always dancing, Mateo. Whether with each other or around that dog -

For a better day, press play.

A Slow Down

The cold weather gave us an opportunity to slow down and catch up today. On homework, on sleep, even on our own life together as well; we got the chance to just be today.

What a gift.

106 days till graduation, Mateo. Can you even believe it? I feel like our life is constantly counting down to the next big thing, so today I'm happy to be with you, fighting against living in the future and neglecting today. Today is a good day to give the dog too much attention and sit a little longer at the kitchen table.

Whether it's the end of the week or the beginning for you this Sunday we hope you are well. What are you counting down the days for? How do you slow down, if only for a moment?
